KOr.10 Architecture was retained as a Executive Architect for a gateway building designed by one of the premiere Architects in Africa. It is one of several projects that extend the corniche along Luanda’s Marginal. Our job was to optimize the layout, core, elevators, life safety, energy and access standards based on a complex program for the Foreign Ministry and Consular functions for the nation of Angola. The team integrated IBC code compliance requirements for high-rise, including elements of the mechanical, IT, electrical systems, fire-life safety, data center, fixtures, parking garage, and security. The team planned the layout and design for the Government Ministries and Consular functions alike. Façade design based on daylight studies and environmental analysis addressed sustainability issues.
