A new Graduate School of Humanities in Rabat faculty included the best international practitioners and academics of governance, economics and social sciences focused on Africa. The school is part of the global vision of a system of graduate research universities. The design of this concept is on the existing campus, a site constrained by a varied topography and a major thoroughfare with a traffic circle making pedestrian movement dangerous. The design exploits the site slope and builds program into the slope while elevating a pedestrian plaza across the roadway. Engaging the traffic circle with an overpass plaza forms the gateway to the University campus. The amphitheater building announces the public part of the program to the community.
