An old underground theater complex reshaped into an auditorium and executive conference center . The key was to create to a highly flexible functional conferencing venue that could handle different meetings simultaneously, including a 1200 person town hall and 300 person seated auditorium venue. The inside of the defunct movie theater was essentially a massive cavern, and a giant cave is exactly what we took advantage of. The solution was a 30,000 SF project which featured a small entry addition made of 24’ tall channel glass, a building within a building auditorium design and breakout spaces doubling as a large town hall. Offices, catering suite, green rooms and sub-dividable conference rooms were fitted with multi functional audio visual capabilities throughout. Project won IIDA's Design Award.
